Originally from Australia, Leah Lundberg has lived and worked across four countries — an experience that gave her a global perspective on design, culture, and what makes an event truly memorable. She's the founder, creative director, and driving force behind Mint Phoenix, now based in the DC, Maryland & Virginia area.
With a background spanning graphic design, branding, event production, and now modern web building, she built the studio on a simple belief: that every project deserves its own carefully assembled team — tailored talent, selected specifically for the brief at hand.
What started as freelance design work quickly evolved into a full creative studio with an unconventional model. Rather than maintaining a large in-house team, Leah curates a hand-selected group of collaborators for each project — sourcing the best florists, fabricators, calligraphers, stylists, and production specialists to match the unique demands of every event and every client.
Her design philosophy is rooted in listening first and creating second. She takes the time to understand not just what a client wants, but why they want it — then assembles the perfect team to bring that vision to life with a level of care and creativity that turns first-time clients into long-term collaborators.
Leah is equal parts strategist and artist. She sweats the details that most people never notice — the weight of a paper stock, the exact shade of gold on an invitation, the way a tablecloth catches the light. And she surrounds herself with specialists who share that same obsession with craft.
When she's not designing, you'll probably find her vetting a new artisan for an upcoming event, test-printing color swatches for the third time, or convincing a client that yes, the font really does matter.
